Is my camera being recorded? Is my AI Friend always watching me? No. By default your AI Friend does not see or analyze your camera feed. The live camera view is only used to place your Friend in your room. Your Friend can only "look" when you explicitly turn its sight on (for example by tapping the eye button, or by entering an activity that uses sight). That permission is off by default and resets to off every new session, so you grant it fresh each time. When my AI Friend does "look," what happens to the picture? When you turn sight on, a single still frame is sent to be described, your Friend comments on what's there, and then the frame is immediately discarded. Frames are not saved and not stored anywhere as images. When it looks, it describes your room, objects, lighting, and colors. It's set up to talk about your space, not to identify who you are. Are the AI-generated pictures (from Idea Lab) saved? No. The pictures your Friend shows in Idea Lab aren't stored on our servers; they're created for that moment and passed to your device. Only a short note of what you asked for is kept, never the image itself. Are my conversations recorded? Is my voice saved? Your conversations aren't kept as word-for-word recordings, and your voice audio isn't stored. What your AI Friend keeps is a short memory of things worth remembering (like your name or things you like): a summary, not a transcript. Your account information and saved memories are encrypted both while stored and while traveling over the internet. Are you selling my information? Do you train AI on my chats?
