Memory

What your AI Friend remembers and how to manage it.

5 articles
Does my AI Friend remember me? Yes. It builds up a memory of things from your conversations and remembers you across sessions. While you're anonymous, that memory is tied to your device; once you sign in, it follows your account across all your devices, and what you built up before is carried over. If I talk to a different character, does it know what I told another one? Each character keeps its own memory of you. Your name is shared across all of them, but other things you talk about are remembered per-character, so one character won't automatically know what you told another. How do I see or delete what it remembers? Open the menu → My Memory. You can see what's remembered (grouped by character), delete individual facts, or use Start Over to wipe everything your Friend has learned while keeping your account. Can I have a private conversation that isn't remembered? Yes. There's an Incognito / Private Chat toggle at the bottom of the in-session menu. While it's on, the conversation isn't saved to memory and past chat bubbles are hidden. Turning it off or refreshing ends private mode. How long is my memory kept? On the free tier, memory uses a rolling recent window (older items age out over time). Members keep memory indefinitely by default. Exact retention details are on the site.
