Permissions & Troubleshooting
Why does it ask for camera, microphone, and motion access?
Each permission powers a core part of the experience. Without camera access the AR experience can't run; if you'd rather only type, you can, but you won't have a voice conversation without the microphone.
Helpful Notes
- Camera: so your AI Friend can appear in your real room (that's the AR), and for taking photos/selfies with it.
- Microphone: so you can talk to it by voice and so sound is captured when you record a video.
- Motion / orientation: so your AI Friend stays anchored steadily in your room as you move and tilt your phone.
